While I found the hotel beautifully decorated and conveniently located near downtown Knoxville, several aspects fell short of my expectations. The staff was friendly and responsive, going above and beyond to address my issues. However, I encountered some cleanliness problems in my room and issues with the comfort of the bed, which hindered my overall satisfaction. 😕

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and well-decorated, but it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I found trash under the desk and dirt on light switches, which I ended up cleaning myself. Additionally, the bed felt uncomfortably hard like sleeping on the floor, despite the pillows being very comfortable. 🛏️
Service
7.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They quickly addressed my concerns, such as a mix-up with my room reservation. I appreciated their willingness to help, especially when I raised issues with cleanliness. However, I did get the feeling that they were somewhat understaffed during busy times.
Location
9.0
I loved the hotel's prime location, which was ideal for exploring downtown Knoxville, the University, and Market Square. It made walking to local attractions easy and enjoyable. Overall, I felt safe and appreciated being in a vibrant area.
Dining
5.0
I had one dinner and one breakfast at the hotel, and while the food was decent, it wasn't amazing. I was disappointed to find out that certain dining options were limited. The coffee in the lobby was quite weak and only available in the mornings, which was a letdown.
Facilities
6.0
The parking situation was frustrating, with valet only available at a steep fee. I also noted the hotel no longer offers room service, and some aspects like weak coffee and dirty pamphlets in the room detracted from my experience. However, I did appreciate the balcony and the overall aesthetic of the hotel.

I had a fantastic experience at Cumberland House Knoxville. The ambiance and attention to detail were impressive, with a theme reflecting Knoxville’s textile history. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, I did experience a hiccup with the parking situation, finding the valet fees quite steep, which took away a bit from the overall convenience.

I had a mixed experience at Cumberland House Knoxville. While the boutique hotel's decor was beautiful and the staff was generally friendly, I faced some significant issues with the dining service and parking arrangements. The restaurant's service was particularly disappointing, and I felt that the hotel could improve its management responsiveness. Overall, it's a lovely place, but there are some crucial areas needing attention for a better stay. 🌟

Rooms

The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, featuring beautiful bathrooms and good amenities. However, my experience was slightly marred as the noise from the cleaning staff began early in the morning.
Service
5.0
Most of the staff were friendly, but my experience with check-in and dining left much to be desired. I didn't receive a promised follow-up from management after my complaint.
Location
6.0
The location is great, being close to the University of Tennessee and downtown Knoxville, making it easy to explore the area. Parking, however, was a struggle during my visit.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was unfortunately lacking. After waiting at the restaurant, I was told they couldn't serve us and had to leave, which was very disappointing considering some of the positive reviews I had read.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had decent facilities, including valet service and comfortable public areas, though I found the parking situation to be quite frustrating given the number of guests versus available spaces.

I had a wonderful stay at Cumberland House Knoxville, where the beautiful decor and thoughtful design really captured my attention. The hotel had an really good ambiance and I felt well taken care of by the friendly staff, particularly Anna at the front desk. However, the mandatory valet parking fee was steep, and I was frustrated by the difficulty accessing local channels on the TV. Overall, I would definitely return based on the comfortable rooms and great location near local attractions.

My room was clean and comfortable, with a super comfy bed that provided a great night's sleep. However, I struggled with getting the TV to work properly for local channels.

The food options were enjoyable, particularly the hearty burgers and fries at the lobby bar, though it would have been nice to have more variety. I did have a minor issue with the restaurant staff concerning a breakfast charge, which dampened my dining experience slightly.

I had a pleasant stay at Cumberland House Knoxville, which is perfectly located near the University of Tennessee and downtown. The decor was beautiful, adding a unique touch to my experience, but I did face some issues with maintenance and parking arrangements. The staff was friendly and attentive, which really made a difference. Overall, I would consider returning again in the future.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-appointed bathroom and great water pressure. However, the pillows were a bit flimsy for my liking, and I did have to switch rooms because the first comforter was damp. Overall though, I found the cleanliness and modern decor appealing.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me with my issues, like parking and finding a new room. They always seemed eager to assist, which added a nice personal touch to my stay. Still, there are times when communication could be improved as I had trouble getting through to the front desk at peak hours.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic for anyone visiting the university or the downtown area, just a short walk to both. I loved being near the World's Fair Park as well. While it was convenient, I did wish there were more dining options within walking distance.
Dining
7.0
The hotel restaurant has a cozy vibe and the food was decent. The menu offered good options, but I did encounter some delays during my visit. Even though it wasn't perfect, I appreciated having a place to eat right on-site.
Facilities
7.0
The public spaces were comfortable and well-decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, I did find the parking situation a bit tricky at times and had to rely on valet services, which may not suit everyone. The availability of amenities like dry cleaning and laundry was definitely a plus.
